SimplyCodes currently tracks one active 10% off storewide code for the American Mahjong Society, and historical data confirms that public codes are genuinely scarce here: only two surfaced across the past two years, a 20% off code in June 2026 and a 10% off code in September 2026, separated by multiple months of zero availability. For a merchant whose catalog centers on annual Mahjong cards, that scarcity reshapes timing: an active storewide code plus the site's promoted free shipping and pre-packaged card bundles are the primary levers available to shoppers.
Grab an Active Storewide Code the Moment It Appears
SimplyCodes has one active 10% off storewide code for the American Mahjong Society right now, and given how rarely these appear, acting on it immediately beats waiting for something larger. Historical tracking across the past two years shows only two storewide codes total: a 20% off code in June 2026 and a 10% off code in September 2026, with long stretches of no active offer in between. Because the American Mahjong Society issues flat storewide discounts in the 10% to 20% range rather than frequent smaller promotions, the practical strategy is to apply whatever code is live when your cards are in the cart. Waiting for the discount to climb back toward 20% can mean months without any usable offer at all. Check SimplyCodes for the current live code before you complete a purchase on amjsociety.com.
Competitors Like Oh My Mahjong, The Mahjong Line, and Yellow Mountain Imports Widen Your Options
Oh My Mahjong, The Mahjong Line, and Yellow Mountain Imports sell the same core Mahjong gear as the American Mahjong Society, including tile sets, mats, and carrying cases, and SimplyCodes tracks 14 active codes across these and other alternative Mahjong retailers. GammonVillage and the National Mah Jongg League Store round out the set of specialty sellers covering this category. Because the American Mahjong Society's own public codes go dark for months at a time, these 14 competitor codes matter most during the gaps when no AMJ Society offer is live. The one category where competitor codes won't substitute is the American Mahjong Society's signature branded cards and founding-member apparel, which are specific to this merchant. For general tile sets, mats, and cases where you aren't tied to the AMJ Society name, pulling up the competitor codes on SimplyCodes gives you a discount you can use the same day.
Skip the Code Search Entirely with the 2026 Cards Bundle or Founding Member Bundle
The American Mahjong Society sells two pre-packaged bundles that build in value without requiring a promo code: the 2026 Cards bundle, which includes four cards, and the Founding Member Bundle, which pairs one card with an AMJ Society founding-member hat. According to the American Mahjong Society's official product pages, both bundles include free shipping. Because standalone item coupons for this merchant are rare, the bundles are a reliable way to save on the products the American Mahjong Society is known for: its annual cards and branded gear. Shoppers buying multiple 2026 cards for a group, or wanting the founding-member hat alongside a card, get the built-in discount without depending on a code cycle that may be months from its next release.
Confirm Free Shipping Applied Before You Pay
The American Mahjong Society's site states free shipping terms inconsistently, so verifying the waived fee at checkout matters most on low-cost single-card orders where a shipping charge represents a large share of the total. The homepage promotes "free shipping on every order," while the 2026 Mahjong Cards product page lists both "free shipping on orders over $25" and "free shipping on all orders." Those conflicting terms mean a single card priced below $25 could, in principle, be treated differently than the homepage suggests. Before submitting payment, review the cart total and confirm the shipping line reads as waived, since a mistaken charge on a small card order eats directly into the savings from any active code or bundle.
