Old Try offers multiple savings opportunities beyond standard promo codes. SimplyCodes data analysis reveals strategic approaches to maximizing your discounts, from timing purchases around key sale events to combining promo codes with existing promotions for the biggest impact.
Time Your Purchases Around Major Sales Events
Old Try participates in major shopping events throughout the year where discounts are deepest. SimplyCodes community data shows these are consistently the best windows to buy.
Key shopping windows
Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and Prime-style deal events typically offer the steepest discounts at Old Try. Our community tracks and verifies codes during these windows in real time — bookmark this page and check back during sale periods for the freshest verified codes.
Seasonal clearance timing
End-of-season clearance periods (January after the holidays, July after summer) often surface hidden discounts. SimplyCodes members report saving an additional 10–25% by shopping Old Try clearance sections during these transitions.
Stack Promo Codes with Existing Site Promotions
Old Try often runs automatic discounts — free shipping thresholds, category sales, or loyalty perks — that work alongside promo codes. Using both at once compounds your savings.
How stacking works
Add items to your cart and check for any auto-applied discounts before entering a promo code. Verified codes from SimplyCodes are typically applied on top of existing sale prices, giving you savings on an already-reduced total.
Free shipping threshold strategy
If Old Try offers free shipping above a certain order value, add items until you reach that threshold — then apply a percentage-off code. SimplyCodes users consistently report this approach as one of the highest-value combinations available.
Use the SimplyCodes Extension for Automatic Code Testing
Manually copying and testing codes one at a time wastes time. The SimplyCodes browser extension automatically finds and applies the best verified code at Old Try checkout.
Set it and save
Install the SimplyCodes extension and it will automatically surface verified codes at Old Try checkout — no copying, no manual testing. The extension ranks codes by community success rate so the best code is applied first.
Community-verified accuracy
Every code in our system is verified by real SimplyCodes community members before it reaches you. This means fewer expired codes and more successful checkouts — our community tests and updates codes daily.
Enable Price Drop Alerts on Saved Items
Old Try frequently runs limited-time price reductions on individual products. Adding items to your wishlist or saved items lets you capture these drops without constant monitoring.
How to set up alerts
Save items you're watching at Old Try to your account wishlist. When the price drops, you'll receive an email or push notification. Combining a price-drop alert with a verified SimplyCodes promo code at the time of the drop can deliver double savings.
Best categories to watch
Electronics, home goods, and seasonal items at Old Try tend to see the most frequent price fluctuations. SimplyCodes analysis shows these categories have the highest rate of discount code availability as well — making them prime targets for the alert + code combo.
Check for First-Order and New-Account Discounts
Old Try regularly offers welcome discounts for new customers — sometimes 10–20% off a first order or a fixed dollar amount off with a minimum purchase.
Where to find new-customer offers
New-customer codes are listed on this page and updated by the SimplyCodes community in real time. Look for codes tagged "First Order" or "New Customer." These typically have the highest face value of any codes available at Old Try.
Maximizing first-order value
Our community recommends saving your first Old Try purchase for a higher-value cart to get the most out of a percentage-off welcome discount. If the code is $X off with a minimum spend, adding items just above the threshold gives the best effective discount rate.

Old Try's email subscribers and loyalty members often receive exclusive codes not available to the public. SimplyCodes tracks these codes when community members share them.

Loyalty program stacking
If Old Try has a rewards or loyalty program, earned points or cash-back can typically be combined with promo codes for maximum value. SimplyCodes community posts regularly note when loyalty rewards and codes are stackable.
Try Multiple Codes — Community Success Rates Guide You
Not every Old Try promo code works for every cart. SimplyCodes shows community-verified success rates so you know which codes to try first.
Reading success rate data
Each code on this page shows how many SimplyCodes community members have successfully used it and how recently. High-percentage codes with recent activity are the safest bets — try those first before moving on to lower-confidence codes.
When a code fails
If a verified code doesn't work, check whether your cart meets any minimum spend or product category requirements listed with the code. SimplyCodes members also leave comments on individual codes explaining restrictions — read these before assuming a code is expired.
