Each code carries a Health Score from 0–100, weighted by checkout outcomes, verifier consensus, and recency. With an estimated 40–60% of coupon codes on the public web dead, restricted, or fake, the system exists so a code earns its place by working at checkout, not by being collected.
How this study is built. We read every promo code SimplyCodes currently tracks as live, keep the ones whose stated value is a percentage, and sort them into bands by how much they take off. Implausible values are dropped before counting: a code claiming 95% or more off does not enter the distribution, which is the same plausibility bar every SimplyCodes board applies. Codes that discount a dollar amount, shipping or a free item carry no percentage and are outside this study entirely, so the shares describe the percent-off market rather than all promo codes.
