If you are looking for a code that takes the delivery fee off a food order, this live data study explains why you cannot find one. It counts every restaurant and food-delivery brand SimplyCodes publishes, asks which of them hold a code verified working at checkout that waives a delivery or shipping charge, and sets the answer against the rest of the retail catalog, recounted daily.
As of August 20, 2026, 12 of the 695 restaurant and food-delivery brands SimplyCodes publishes hold a promo code verified working at checkout that waives a shipping charge — 1.73%, against 6.80% of every other kind of store. Not one of those 17 codes calls itself free delivery.
- None of the 17 codes calls itself free delivery. All 17 of them say free shipping, which is the charge a parcel carries rather than the fee a courier charges.
- The whole supply sits at 12 brands, and 5 of the 17 codes belong to a single one of them.
- Not one of the 41 busiest restaurant and food-delivery brands holds a delivery-waiver code, and 19 of those 41 do hold a code verified working at checkout of another kind — the offer type is what is missing, not the codes.

Share with a delivery-waiver code = the share of that group's brands holding at least one promo code verified working at checkout whose stated value is a waived delivery or shipping charge · Brands holding one = the count behind that share · Brands measured = how many brands in the group were counted. Each brand counts once, so a busy chain does not outweigh a small one. The three groups do not overlap and together they are the whole published catalog.

Why the code you are looking for is not there
A code that waives a charge exists where there is a charge to waive. Where food is mailed in a box there is a shipping line on the order, and where a courier brings it hot there is a delivery fee instead. The first two rows of the board above are those two worlds, and they do not carry the same offer.
A delivery fee is not a shipping charge. It pays a courier for one trip and it is priced on the order in front of you, which is why the offer a shopper is hunting for is scarce here rather than merely hard to find. The discount is not missing from this market, as the board's own count of brands holding a working code shows. A waived delivery fee is just not the form it usually arrives in.

Methodology
How SimplyCodes verifies codes. Behind every figure in this live data study is the SimplyCodes verification system. Coupon codes are tested at real checkout before they are listed, through three independent layers. Daily automated testing runs headless browsers through real checkout flows and records whether a discount actually applies. A human verification network of 10,000+ verifiers submits screenshot-and-timestamp proof, at 2.3M+ monthly code verifications and 98% accuracy. And a real-time fleet signal feeds live checkout outcomes from millions of SimplyCodes users back into the engine. Each code carries a Health Score from 0–100, weighted by checkout outcomes, verifier consensus, and recency. With an estimated 40–60% of coupon codes on the public web dead, restricted, or fake, the system exists so a code earns its place by working at checkout, not by being collected.
How this study is built. We read every promo code SimplyCodes currently tracks as live at a published brand, keep the ones that currently pass the verification check, and ask which of them state their value as a waived delivery or shipping charge. A code counts as working when its Health Score is in the green band. Brands are then sorted into three groups that do not overlap — restaurants and food delivery, the rest of food and drink, and every other kind of store — and each brand counts once, so this is a market-level count of how many storefronts carry the offer rather than a checkout-success rate. Two instrument notes matter here. Our records carry one shipping-type value, covering both a waived parcel-shipping charge and a waived delivery fee, so this study counts the two together and reports separately how many of the codes it finds describe themselves as free shipping rather than free delivery. The same shipping-type value on offers that are not codes fails its own consistency check: catalog-wide only 1.0% of those records carry a title that mentions shipping or delivery at all, against 100.0% for the codes, so this live data study counts codes only and makes no claim about offers that carry no code. Sensitive retail verticals are screened out by category before any counting — medications and sexual health, gambling, and hunting and self-defense — alongside the standing brand-level exclusions covering vaping, cannabis and casino operators. In the restaurant and food-delivery group that screen removed no brands. Brands with implausible code inflation, more than 500 codes in a single month, are excluded as well. One figure to read carefully alongside our own earlier work: the SimplyCodes guide to getting free shipping reports 8.4% of online retailers holding a verified free-shipping code as of March 2026, reading a monthly per-merchant summary across roughly 94,000 retailers. This study reads current promotion records across the 46,168 brands SimplyCodes publishes today. The two are different populations on different records and are not meant to reconcile. Figures refresh with the data snapshot shown above.
